Make math FUN this Winter!

The winter months can be long and cold for many of us (with everyone hoping for a snow day!).  In my classroom, it is also a time when I feel like I have the longest stretches of uninterrupted instructional time with my students. With many of the fall and winter holidays behind us, it leaves more time to focus on the curriculum.  Why not make the curriculum and computation fun at the same time??

Engage your students with these Winter Math riddles worksheets! I began creating math riddles to make math more fun in my own classroom.

Enjoy riddles like these...
What did the guests sing at Frosty's birthday party?
What do you call and old snowman?
What is Frosty's favorite kind of cake?
Who was Frosty's favorite aunt?
Why don't mountains get cold in the Winter?
How does a snowman get to work?
What does a snowman eat for lunch?
And many more...

I love hearing my students giggle as they solve the riddle at the end of the worksheet. Students solve  problems, each problem has a letter assigned to it and the letters help to solve the riddle. It is a great way to combine fun and learning!
